Snoozing on the sand

A pair of nationally vulnerable New Zealand sea lions rest at the base of the sand sausages at St Clair yesterday afternoon.

New Zealand Sea Lion Trust chairwoman Jordana Whyte said it appeared to be two females enjoying each other’s company.
