The former Dunedin ballerina has studied at the Prudence Bowen Atelier School of Ballet, on Australia's Gold Coast, for the past two years.
She is home for the week to visit family and take part in the Dunedin Performing Arts Society competition this weekend.
Former teacher Robyn Sinclair, of the Dunedin School of Ballet, invited her to visit a junior class yesterday to give the young ballerinas "some inspiration".
On top of a full day of dancing, often from 6.30am to 5.30pm, Jordan spends her evenings studying by correspondence for a high school qualification.
She recently scored 98% in Australia's top ballet exam and hopes to travel to London to compete in the Royal Academy of Dance Genee International Ballet Competition in November.
