The post-Covid restart of the Taieri Gorge train trip to Pukerangi has been postponed for a week.
Dunedin Railways was due to resume the service from today, but decided to put it off until next Saturday after this week’s drenching.
Commercial operations general manager Rebekah Jenkins said the track was in excellent condition.
"Once the weather clears up, we’ll be ready to celebrate the launch of our new Taieri Gorge train in style," she said.
