Despite attending every Masters Games held in Dunedin, Coral Judson has yet to be part of the official action.

The 72-year-old, from Papamoa, near Tauranga, has been happy to keep to the sidelines and support her family and friends, while also enjoying the social side of the Games.

Yesterday, she was supporting her brother, sister-in-law and partner in the bowls triples.

''I used to go to all the Whanganui games when my husband was alive but now I just come down here every two years to see my brother and daughter.''

While the sports side of the event had yet to take her fancy, the social events were another story.

''I tell people I compete in the twilight social and they don't ask what that is.''

As a result of her regular appearance at the Games, Mrs Judson has made some life-long friends.

However, it is unlikely she will be joining her brother on the bowling green.

''I've just had a hip replacement, so I won't be able to, and I'm happy on the sidelines.''
