Aberdeen Rd in St Clair has been blocked by a fallen power line after a vehicle hit a power pole in the street.
An eyewitness said a wooden power pole had been knocked over and a power line was drooping about 2m above the ground, as electricity company staff worked to rectify the problem.
Further details from the crash site, near Ravenswood Rd, were not immediately available.
