PlayStation, window taken in burglaries

Dunedin police are investigating two recent burglaries, of a residential Ravensbourne Rd address and a demolition site in Cargill St.

Senior Sergeant Bruce Ross said a person allegedly entered the Ravensbourne Rd home about 3am on Monday by jemmying a bathroom window using a pipe found at the rear of the property.

A PlayStation 3 console was taken, along with its controls and a variety of games.

Some time over the weekend, a leadlight window was stolen from the rear of a Cargill St building under demolition.

Snr Sgt Ross said the window had been bought by a Dunedin man and had been left propped up against the rear of the building for him to pick up, but it was reported stolen.
