It is the second stage of a development by TGC Homes. The first stage — a 10-lot development in Henderson St — is nearing completion.
TGC Homes director George Hercus said all the Henderson St homes had already sold.
Roofing would be installed soon for a expected completion in May.
The Brunel St development would feature a total of nine townhouses, he said.
They ranged from three-storey one and two bedroom homes with single-car garages, with views overlooking the ocean, and two-storey, two bedroom homes with carparks.
Five of the nine Brunel St homes had sold before construction had even begun, Mr Hercus said.
Demolition of old buildings and in-ground services had been completed and foundations would be laid this month
Seven of the nine homes would be accessed off Brunel St, and the other two off Glenpark Ave.
They were expected to be completed in September.
