A young mountain biker had to be winched off Signal Hill after being injured during a bike ride yesterday.
Harry Willis (13), of Dunedin, is helped into an Otago Regional Rescue Helicopter by intensive care paramedics Anthony Hoets (left) and Monica Aarsen before being flown to Dunedin Hospital with moderate injuries.

The helicopter was called in as ambulance staff were having trouble getting to the patient, she said.
Police and a fire crew also attended.
