Plants given away included an assortment of pyrethrum, dianthus, ageratum, marigold, silver dust, begonia, California poppies, verbena, nasturtiums and sunflowers.
Unsure what specimens she had taken, Mrs Padman said she was attracted to the most colourful plants left.
''My hanging baskets were looking a bit sad so I decided to go and get some new plants to keep them going for the rest of the summer.''
