The former PlaceMakers site in South Dunedin is being converted into a bus depot, ready to be used by Go Bus Transport from next year.

Aotea Electric Southern, Hall Brothers Transport and Naylor Love had vehicles there yesterday.

Go Bus is preparing to move to the Portsmouth Dr property from its Princes St depot.

It is expected engineering services will be relocated before Christmas and operations will move early next year once construction is completed.
