A group of revellers "enjoying the season a bit too much'' resulted in fire fighters being called out to a bonfire in South Dunedin tonight.
St Kilda station officer Peter Brosnan said it was called to a bonfire at a Bradshaw St property at 8.56pm.
It initially went through as a bonfire, but the amount of black smoke pouring from the blaze caused members of the public to call it through as a building fire, Mr Brosnan said.
The fire was quickly put out and Mr Brosnan put it down to revellers at a party "enjoying the season a bit too much''.
