Three Dunedin hairdressers will pit their trend-setting cut and colour creations against 15 others in the Wella Professionals Trend Vision Award in September.
The South Island finalists for the competition were announced this week, with three of the six hailing from Dunedin.
Jaimee Smith, of Zaibatsu Hair Art, will compete in the colour section, while Anna King, also of Zaibatsu, and Kylie Hayes, of Moha Morrison Hayes Hairdressing, will compete in the young talent section.
They will take part in the live national finals in Auckland, with the opportunity to represent New Zealand at the International Trend Vision Award in Paris in November.
The biggest awards of its kind, Trend Vision challenges stylists and colourists to interpret themes which draw on culture, nature, dreams and theatricals.
Other finalists are Maree Thompson and Kerry Peninsula-Spain, of Invercargill, and Donna James, of Nelson.
