Police are looking for a verbally "aggressive'' man who allegedly burgled an exclusive club in Dunedin today.
Senior Sergeant Steve Larking, of Dunedin, said the Dunedin Club in Melville St was targeted just after 4am.
When a club "key-holder'' arrived, a man was seen crouching behind the bar.
"The man yelled aggressively at the key-holder.''
He left the club via a door.
The key-holder was not touched and nothing was taken, Snr Sgt Larking said.
Police dogs were deployed but failed to find the man.
The man was described as being of medium height and build, wearing a hoodie or a balaclava, carrying a bag and possibly wearing gloves.
Club manager Stephen Dawkins declined to comment when contacted by the Otago Daily Times today.
