Dunedin community newspaper D-Scene may be ceasing publication after five years.
The Fairfax Media-owned The Press reported yesterday a proposal to close the weekly publication, a subsidiary of The Southland Times.
A meeting was held with newspaper staff on Wednesday and a two-week consultation period with the affected eight full and part-time staff was under way.
Fairfax Media The Southland Times general manager Sue Gregory told The Press no further comment would be made until the consultation period was completed.
