A drunk teenager was arrested at the weekend after allegedly attempting to break into cars with a screwdriver in South Dunedin.
Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said the 17-year-old Dunedin youth was seen trying to break into vehicles in Macandrew Rd, Fitzroy St and Forbury Rd.
When stopped by police, he admitted his behaviour.
"In his possession were two screwdrivers, a vice grip and a pocket knife,'' Snr Sgt Dinnissen said.
It was unclear yesterday what action police would take against the youth.
