Emergency services attend a crash between a small truck and station wagon at the corner of Burkes Dr and SH88 just before noon yesterday.
Senior Constable Stephen Tvrdeic said it appeared an unknown southbound vehicle had slowed to turn right into Burkes Dr, forcing the driver of the truck to take evasive action, swerving into the path of the station wagon.
Police asked the driver of the turning vehicle to come forward.
A person in the station wagon was temporarily knocked out and was taken to Dunedin Hospital by St John with moderate injuries.
Inquiries into the crash were continuing.
