A crane is used to lift roofing iron on to the former Bank of New Zealand building on the corner of Princes and Rattray Sts.

Building co-owner Michael van Aart said the top floor of the building at 205 Princes St was being converted into an office space for a tech company.

The space was originally the bank manager’s apartment, he said.

He declined to disclose the name of the tech company.

A crane parked in Rattray St was used to move building material including corrugated iron, skylights and windows.

The conversion started at the end of last year and was expected to be finished in the third week of February.
