Performances of the interactive school holiday play A Paint Box of Clowns have been selling out since it opened on Saturday in the 104-seat studio theatre.
The hour-long show is hosted by three silent clowns.
However, it was audience members who were the real stars of the show, Fortune marketing manager Larissa Dyke said yesterday.
"It's all about colours, interaction and audience participation and the children have been absolutely loving it."
Actor Daniel Allan said it was a challenge keeping more than 100 children entertained without speaking.
"Usually, most actors have to learn lines, while we have to learn physical routines and movement. It's challenging, but it also made rehearsals really fun."
A Paint Box of Clowns is on at 11am and 1pm daily in the Fortune Theatre Studio until Sunday.
