Two young Dunedin boys will be very unhappy on Christmas Day as their much anticipated Christmas present, a trolley cart, has been stolen.
Tracey Rodgers said she and her husband had just painted the trolley a bright orange for their 7 and 5-year-old nephews so it was ready for them for Christmas. The trolley had come from a friend whose children were now adults.
"They're very keen on rugby so we've painted No 7 on the side in black for Richie McCaw."
Constable Peter Bevin said the trolley, about 1m long, was taken from the back yard of an Eglinton Rd, Mornington, property between last Wednesday and Sunday.
He urged anyone who had seen the trolley or knew of its whereabouts to contact Dunedin police.
