Call to avoid Gordon Rd at peak times

Motorists are being asked to avoid Mosgiel's main street during peak commuting times at the moment because a major road works project is causing significant delays.

A large section of Gordon Rd is down to one lane.

Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen, of Dunedin, said people should avoid the road at the start and end of the working day.

The project is expected to cause disruption until the end of February.
