Breaking ground at Dunedin ACC site

Contractors use a crane to remove sheet piling from behind a concrete retaining wall on the site of the new Accident Compensation Corporation's (ACC) office building in Dowling St yesterday.

The new 8000sq m multi-storey office is a joint venture between Ngai Tahu and ACC.

It will have space for up to 650 employees and is due to be completed by 2024.

ACC will lease the building from Ngai Tahu for 20 years.
