Cafe Ambience chocolate brownie

Serves 12-16, depending on size you want

Chocolate brownie

⅓ cup cocoa

⅓ cup hot water

150g butter

150g dark chocolate buttons

1 ¼ cups brown sugar

1 cup ground almonds

4 eggs — separated

Method

Preheat oven to 165degC.

Dissolve cocoa in hot water, add butter and chocolate.

Melt in microwave on short bursts at a low temperature.

Add brown sugar, ground almonds, egg yolks and mix well.

Beat egg whites until firm and add to chocolate mixture and stir until all combined.

Line and grease a square baking tin about 20cm in size.

Pour mixture into tin and cook for 25-30 minutes.
