Dunedin is a Diverse City by Pamela Taylor

Advertorial

Dunedin is a diverse city and I am committed to inclusion and justice for all. I am compelled to ensure that all people are treated with dignity and respect that they deserve. God has a plan and a purpose, a value to every life, no matter what its location, age, health status, and gender. I would like to work on to address systemic discrimination towards people based on their health status. Dunedin people must treat one another with loving kindness and respect, regardless of our health status and not to practice any discrimination, medical apartheid or segregation.

I will not intentionally exclude you from Dunedin facilities based on your health if I were Mayor. I believe that all people were created equal by God and should always be treated with respect and be fully included within our society. We need to make every single thing accessible to every single person regardless of their health status. We require more car parking spaces in the city to include accessibility for all. We must all be treated as equals.

More than ever human rights are critical.  My goal is for society to see the benefits that being truly inclusive can bring. There is power in intentional and collective action when people are united in truth and loving kindness for a just cause. I want to make Dunedin a better place for my children to grow up in, if making Dunedin a better place resonates with you, you belong within the Dunedin story.

A NEW ERA AWAITS
With gratitude in my heart, I consider the legacy of Dunedin over so many years and I believe it is time to step into a new era. In a post pandemic world, we want to step into the future mindful of how we can serve our community in the most relevant and meaningful way. Prayerfully, I am asking questions about how to take Dunedin forward. Help me to shape Dunedin in the years to come by sharing your thoughts with me via email at taylor.pamela77@yahoo.com. A new era awaits.
