The 'Born This Way' singer heads the Forbes magazine annual celebrity power list, beating out the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Justin Bieber and U2.
The 25-year-old was deemed particularly influential due to her millions of followers and fans on social networking sites twitter and Facebook.
Among sports stars to feature on the list, Tiger Woods is still the biggest celebrity in the sports world despite not having finished a tournament atop the leaderboard in 18 months.
Woods is sixth on the Forbes list, the highest of any of the 19 athletes who made the top 100, behind Gaga, Winfrey, Bieber, U2 and Elton John.
Other sports figures on the list were: David Beckham and Phil Mickelson (tied at 35), Cristiano Ronaldo (43), Rafael Nadal (46), Tom Brady (55), Dwight Howard (59), Lionel Messi (62), Peyton Manning (72), Maria Sharapova (80), Serena Williams (84), Venus Williams (86) and Danica Patrick (96).
