Winger Hamish Johnstone was in a fighting mood and used his speed to score three of University A's tries when it beat Harbour in the play-off for fifth and sixth at Watson Park.
The students gave one of their best displays of the season when they strung phases together through good support play.
The backs were too fleet-footed for Harbour, with winger David Thompson and centre Phil Young both scoring two tries.
Nick Currie was a lively halfback and Ryan Grant directed play in the midfield.
Lock Albie Herron dominated the line-out.
The best Harbour forward was flanker Jason Kelly, who had a strong game on defence, while fullback James White and second five-eighth Doug Edwards had strong games in the backs.
University A 50 (Hamish Johnstone 3, David Thompson 2, Phil Young 2 tries; Brad Nicol 6 conversions, Thompson dropped goal), Harbour 15 (Siaosi Folau, Jason Kelly tries; Jonnie Hughes conversion, penalty goal).
Half-time: 38-3.
