Morne Steyn will play his 100th game for the Bulls when the side takes on the Highlanders at Forsyth Barr Stadium on Saturday night.

Steyn (27), first made his debut for the Bulls in 2005 against the Crusaders and has scored more than 1000 points at this level.

First five-eighth Steyn will be a key man in a Bulls outfit which has surprised many by its form this season.

After it lost a raft of experienced players at the end of last year, there were predictions the side from the high veldt would struggle.

But it sits top of the table and have won both of their games - against the Rebels and Waratahs - on their tour so far.

Steyn has been impressive this season, leading the side around the field and becomes the sixth Bull to bring up 100 games for the franchise.

Bulls coach Frans Ludeke has made three changes to the team which beat the Waratahs 27-24 in Sydney last Friday night.

Loose forward Deon Stegman has broken his arm and has gone back to Africa. He has been replaced in the starting side by Dewald Potgieter, an experienced quick loose forward, who will attempt to stop the Highlanders speeding the game up.

Midfield back Wynand Olivier will come back into the side after he missed last week's game because of a rib injury. Prop Dean Greyling also returns after he missed the last game, due to the birth of his child in South Africa.

Steyn has scored more than 1100 points for the Bulls and the Highlanders will have to be disciplined to finish in front on Saturday night.

Steyn brought up his 50th game for the franchise in 2009, also against the Highlanders, in Palmerston North and will be hoping for a better result this time around, after the team from Pretoria lost 36-12 to the Highlanders that day.

The Bulls, who will wear their bright pink away strip on Saturday night, have stayed in Australia for a few days and arrived in Dunedin yesterday.

Players will have the day off today before training at the stadium tomorrow afternoon.
