Pirates registered their third win this season with a tense 26-16 win against Alhambra-Union at Hancock Park today.

An intercept try to winger Adam Gavegan gave Pirates a 17-10 advantage at the break and the sides traded penalties in the second half. At Montecillo, Taieri beat Zingari-Richmond 44-29, while Southern smashed Green Island 71-3 at Kettle Park.
