Former Highlander signs in US

Former Highlander Vilimoni Koroi has signed with Nola Gold, based in New Orleans, for the upcoming the Major Rugby League season in the United States.

Koroi represented the All Blacks Sevens in 2019-20, played for the Highlanders in 2019-23 and played for Otago in 2016-22. He also made a couple of appearances for North Otago in the Heartland Championship.

He joins fellow former All Blacks Sevens player Isaac Te Tamaki at Nola Gold next season.

Te Tamaki played for the All Blacks Sevens in 2015-18, and the Southland Stags in 2017-24 and a stint with Valence Romans Drome Rugby in Pro D2 this season.

Nola Gold are coached by former Highlanders and All Black halfback Danny Lee.
