Alhambra-Union took a vice-like grip on the game in the second spell to beat Zingari-Richmond 10-0 in wet conditions at Montecillo.

The first try came five minutes after half-time, when Alhambra-Union put together several phases and the ball was fed to wing Karne Hesketh, who used his speed and strength to slide over the tryline.
Alhambra-Union had the initiative for the rest of the game and came close to scoring on several occasions, but was stopped by solid defence from the Zingari forwards.
The final try came after 25 minutes when the ball was kicked into the Zingari 22m over the heads of the defenders and fullback Peter Breen was first to pounce on the ball.
Halfback Matt George had a lively game for Alhambra-Union, prop Dane Maraki made some strong driving runs and flanker Matt Clutterbuck tackled ferociously and had a strong support game.
Alhambra-Union was unable to break through the midfield because of the strong tackling of Ben Kent and Kurt Schruder.
Loose forwards Ryan Newman and Chris Bell had solid defensive games.
But the conditions prevented the game from reaching any great heights.
