The Otago Spirit will have some early starts in the Farah Palmer Cup Championship this year.
The Spirit, in the draw released yesterday, have three games scheduled for 11.35am against North Harbour Hibiscus, Tasman and Taranaki in the upcoming season, which starts in August.
After having three home games last year, the Spirit have only been allocated two games at Forsyth Barr Stadium this year.
They start with away games against the Hibiscus, in Auckland, on August 11, and the Manawatu Cyclones, in Palmerston North, on August 17.
They then return to Dunedin to play their first home game on August 25 against Tasman.
They play Taranaki in New Plymouth on August 31 and Wellington Pride in Dunedin on September 7 to round out the round robin.
The Spirit’s home games are being advertised as double-headers, with the Otago men presumably playing at home the same day in the yet-to-be-released NPC draw.
The Championship final is scheduled for the weekend of September 21 and 22.
