Taieri has preserved its perfect start to the season with a comprehensive 41-11 win against Southern at Peter JOhnstone Park this afternoon.
The Eels have posted five consecutive bonus point wins and enjoy a 10-point buffer at the top of the competition standings.
The defending champions were just too well organised on defence for Southern, even when they were reduced to 14 men twice thanks to a couple of yellow cards.
Southern was willing up front but an intercept try to Josh Casey midway through the second half proved the turning point.The Magpies wilted thereafter.
At Montecillo, Zingari-Richmond registered its first win of the season with a 32-17 win against Alhambra-Union.
Harbour beat Kaikorai 33-10 at Bishopscourt, and Dunedin dispatched University 54-14 at Kettle Park.
