Three teams have booked their spots in the Southern Region semifinals in two weeks.
Clutha Valley, Clutha and Crescent are all safe, although final positioning in the four will be played for this weekend.
There are three other teams — Toko, Heriot and West Taieri — battling it out for the final playoff spot.
Clutha signalled its intentions last weekend with a clinical win over Clutha Valley.
It pushed Clutha into outright second, two points behind Valley, which has the bye this weekend.
Clutha hosts Heriot knowing a win can secure top spot on the table, the Speight’s Jug, and the Springbok Horns.
A win for Heriot does not guarantee it a semifinal, as it will need other results to go its way.
Crescent is coming off the bye week, which led to it falling behind Clutha into third.
Crescent is two points behind Clutha and four behind Valley. It has locked in a semifinal already which could turn into a home semifinal if it was to beat Clinton this weekend and Clutha lost.
Clinton has yet to win a game and is likely to finish the season after this weekend in the dreaded ninth spot.
Toko botched a chance to secure a semifinal last weekend when it fell short of the mark against West Taieri at home.
Toko travels to Swamp Hen Park to take on Owaka, coming off its first win of the campaign last weekend at Lawrence.
There are two trophies up for grabs including a new one, the Dean Miller Memorial, which both sides will be keen to get their hands on first.
West Taieri hosts Lawrence and can make the semifinals with a win plus an Owaka win.
Clutha Valley has the bye but has already secured a home semifinal.
