Turn it up! Tips straight from the horses mouth

Another bumper summer racing circuit is upon us.

Family, friends and festivities and a feast of brilliant local racing.

I, for one, can not wait.

To help holiday punters, I have sought the advice of a selection of southern horsemen and women who have provided a horse to follow over the summer circuit.

Nathan Williamson:

Chinese Whisper should be very hard to beat, no matter where he goes.

Brad Williamson:

Follow Zoned Scarlett, wherever she goes.

Claire Anderton:

Koxinga in the rating 82 1600m at Wingatui on Boxing Day.

Tony Stratford:

Royal Bengal has pipped classy trotter War Admiral as Tony Stratford's horse to follow.

Geoff Knight:

Look out for Winsomechange at Gore on December 27.

Jacob Lowry:

Lance Robinson's smart 3yr-old Khimar War at Wingatui on Boxing Day.

Darryn Simpson:

Pres The Belle is getting ready to step out again after a let-up after New Zealand Cup week.

Amber Hoffman:

Tartan Roxy at either the Omakau or Cromwell meeting.

Courtney Barnes:

Mossy Creek when she lines up after Christmas.

Matthew Williamson:

Only One Way will be tough to beat at Winton on December 31.

Terry Kennedy:

Bakela in the rating 72 1400m race at Wingatui on Boxing Day.

Kirstin Barclay:

Hampton is a nice 3yr-old who will line up over the holidays, possibly at Omakau.

Brett Gray:

Qualifying trial winner Major Purchase is one of the big winning chances among Brett Gray's large summer racing team.

Steven Prince:

Scandalous in the 1400m maiden race at Wingatui on Boxing Day.

Enjoy your Christmas and New Year racing.

Happy trails.
