Girl power is back in vogue for Belle Miraaj and Samantha Wynne at Riccarton tomorrow.
The duo have teamed up just twice, but have left their mark with wins in the Gore Guineas and the Southland Guineas.
Wynne chuckled when asked if the daughter of Iffraaj was one of her equine ''besties''.
''She's one of them - I've got many,'' she said.
''It's hard to keep track of them all but she's definitely up there. She's given me some special races so I hope it continues.''
And with the conditions of tomorrow's listed Airfreight Stakes over 1600m, there's no reason the pair can't make it three wins from as many starts.
Wynne had to watch from a distance as Belle Miraaj ran a brave fifth in the New Zealand Oaks at Trentham last month, and reports from her Ascot Park trainer, Gay Robinson, had been positive.
''She had a little spell after and she's come out on the good side of it,'' Wynne said.
''She's definitely in with a chance on Saturday. She's met a lot of good company along the way and she's never been disgraced, so she's got every right to be there to take our chance.''
The set weights conditions for the 3yr-old fillies feature is in Belle Miraaj's favour, as she will carry the same weight of 56.5kg as the rest of the field, despite winning five races.
The draw has also fallen the pair's way after they drew barrier 2, giving Wynne plenty of choices from the gate.
''At least we can pick and choose where we want to go,'' she said.
''Hopefully we can sit in behind them, switch her off early in the race and then come home.''
Wynne has taken note of the good form of No Tricks, who has run fourth in her last three starts behind Volkstok'n'barrell, Passing Shot and Vespa, and also respects the Steven Woodsford-trained Miss Seton Sands, who won the listed 1400m at Ashburton last month.
''You can't underrate her but there's a few chances - it's not going to be a walk in the park, that's for sure.''
Wynne gets to reforge a combination with top galloper Scapolo in the $50,000 Easter Cup.
Wynne has ridden the Kevin Myers-trained 5yr-old in three races for two wins and a slashing fourth in the Pegasus Stakes in November.
''I'm very grateful for the ride on him. He always goes well at Riccarton so he's definitely in with a chance.''
Wynne also has time for Inis Rose in the rating 65 1600m, although she expects improvement from the second-up running.
''Now, the mile might be too short, but she'll be definitely be doing her best work late, so she's one to watch on softer ground.''
