White Socks is in a Graduation Final at Forbury Park tonight.
"He has come through the race well and he could go on to better things if he stays sound," Knight said.
The 5yr-old White Socks had twice gone amiss with leg problems after one earlier start.
Knight and his wife, Judy, have won 21 races this season, up from 16 last season, their first in a training partnership.
They will pin their hopes on Bronze Hero in the race for junior drivers tonight with the sale to Australia of Jaccka Twain. Jaccka Twain has been bought by patrons of the stable of Daryl Graham. The 4yr-old has won three races this season for Riversdale breeders Charlie and Ailsa Smaill.
Bronze Hero capped a run of minor placings with a sound front-running win last Thursday. Matthew Williamson has the drive. Williamson has partnered most of the Knight winners this season.
He will drive Trojan for the stable at Alexandra Park tomorrow night. Williamson is stopping off in Auckland on the way to a holiday overseas.
Knight is hoping for improvement from Trojan, who has not flattered in two starts in Auckland. Williamson has driven Trojan in four of his seven wins.
Jonny Cox will be reunited with No Courage Russell (race 9) tonight in the absence of Dexter Dunn. Cox drove No Courage Russell to win at Forbury Park two starts back.
Cox is also driving Easton All Action for the in-form stable of Graeme Anderson and Amber Hoffman. Easton All Action was a last-start winner at Forbury Park on June 2. She has won twice from seven starts.
Jay Bees Grin, winner of his only start, has been turned out for six weeks.
The 2yr-old, trained at Darfield by David Moore, won at Washdyke on May 15. He was a trial winner at Addington last week. Dunn was the driver both times.
"He was to have raced at Addington on Friday night but the race didn't get off the ground and with Dexter being away, we have decided to wait until the new season with him," Moore said.
Moore shares the ownership of Jay Bees Grin with Bruce and Prue Harper, of Ashburton. They bred Jay Bees Grin, who is by Grinfromeartoear and the second foal of Nettys Kingdom, the winner of three races for the same connections.
