Lady Gaga, who cleared maiden ranks at Forbury Park last Thursday, has returned to the ownership of her Invercargill breeders Mark and Debbie Smith.

The Smiths sold the daughter of Christian Cullen and Sly Soky for $55,000 at the 2008 premier yearling sale.

She is a half-sister to the big winner Sly Flyin and a sister to Spicey, who won a Yearling Sales Pace at 3.

Lady Gaga was unplaced in one start as a 2yr-old and had a fourth in six starts this season at 3 from the Papakura stable of Tony Herlihy.

She was then offered back to the Smiths, who bought her in December.

Lady Gaga was spelled and a syndicate arranged to race the filly.

She joined the Invercargill stable of Murray Brown and resumed racing five weeks ago.

She preceded her win with three placings in as many starts for Brown.

Lady Gaga is the last foal of Sly Soky (Soky's Atom-Sly Tabella), who has been retired by the Smiths.

The dam of five winners from 10 foals, she is now 24.

The Smiths are breeding from two daughters of Sly Soky - Sly Shard and Shards A Flyin.

Sly Shard is the dam of Smiling Shard, winner of the Harness Jewels and Australasian Breeders' Crown at 2 and the NZ Yearling Sales Pace this season.

He has won 11 of his 24 starts and $780,000.

Calamity Gal, an entrant for a free-for-all trot at the Ashburton meeting at Addington on Friday night, is now trained by Gavin Smith at Ashworth's Beach.

Winner of seven of her 28 starts for Barry Purdon and Scott Phelan, Calamity Gal has not raced since November.

Go West U Terror, winner of the group one $100,000 Western Australian Pearl Classic Final for 2yr-olds at Gloucester Park last Friday, was a $20,500 purchase by Colin De Filippi on behalf of Brian Cousins, of WA, at the 2009 NZ Premier Yearling Sale.

He has now won five of his seven starts and $A85,000 in stakes.

Bred by Neil Rich, of the Styx Stables, Christchurch, Go West U Terror is by Western Terror from Pocket Rain, an unraced mare by In The Pocket.

• A start in the Gold Coast Oaks on Friday night has been ruled out for De Lovely, winner of the New Zealand Oaks and Harness Jewels.

"We couldn't get a direct flight from Auckland to Brisbane and it is too much to ask her to travel by road from Sydney," Geoff Small, her Patumahoe trainer, said.

Small said De Lovely would target the Australian Oaks and Australasian Breeders' Crown in Victoria in July and August.

The Millwood Meg, winner of the Western Australian Oaks, and Charlotte Brew (Victoria Oaks) are headed to the Gold Coast Oaks and the Queensland Oaks the following week.

Millwood Meg (Mach Three-Millwood Pride), bred by Dave and Katy Carville, of Ohoka, has won six of her seven starts since being sold out of the stable of David and Catherine Butt in February.

She had won five from 16 starts in NZ Charlotte Brew (Mach Three-Carnasserie) was a $13,000 purchase on the third day of the 2008 premier sale when offered by Mike Stratford.

• Holiday Lover has his first start from the Woodend Beach stable of David and Catherine Butt on Friday night at Addington.

Holiday Lover won six races when trained at Weedons by part-owner Jamie Gameson.

His most recent win was at Addington 10 months ago.

• Trotters Paramount Geegee (2yr-old) and Miami H (3yr-old) qualified for the Australasian Breeders' Crown semifinals at Melton from August 13 with heat wins at Alexandra Park yesterday.

Commander Jewel (2yr-old) trained by Mark Jones and Endeavour Sunset (3yr-old) trained by Gerard O'Reilly won the two South Island heats on June 16.

Rangataua Ray, who is to race at Addington on Friday night, was successful at the Oamaru trials on Sunday.

Rangataua Ray beat Friday race rival Here Comes Soky by a head over 2000m (mobile) in 2.31.8 (a 2.02.1 mile rate), the last 800m in 56.9 on an easy track.

Rangataua Ray recorded his eighth win from 38 starts when he was successful at his last start on June 4 at Addington.
