Anzac Star has thrived since his last-start maiden win, auguring well for his chance at the Otago meeting tomorrow.
Anzac Star was ridden by his trainer Paul Richards when worked at three-quarter pace on the plough at Wingatui on Saturday morning with stablemate Barbarossa.
The 3yr-old, owned by Ray Chalklin, is stepping up to 1200m after a win over 800m at Wingatui on October 15.
"I don't think the distance will work him. He finished second over 1100m in his other start," Richards said.
Lesley Brook is set to have her last race tomorrow.
"She is going to Raise The Flag. She just hasn't been the same since she injured her head in a paddock accident as a 2yr-old," Terry Kennedy, her trainer said.
Lesley Brook won the 2008 Welcome Stakes at Riccarton and a race at Trentham under 58kg as a 2yr-old for the Fred King Family Trust.
Lance Robinson is the new ride for Lucy Star (race 5), an unlucky fourth when resuming on October 15.
Robinson rode Lucy Star to win at the premier meeting at Wingatui last February.
Royal Flight, who ran second in the Cuddle Stakes at Trentham last month, has her next start in the Coupland's Mile at the New Zealand Cup meeting.
