His first success of the day was in the rating 90 1200m event on Nakayama who won by three lengths from News Flash, ridden by Courtney Barnes.
Campbell (17) also picked up a win on Luvabattle in the 1600m maiden.
In the last on the card, he won on Herberite by nearly eight lengths in a rating 1600m race.
He also steered Dreaming Easy to second in race four.
Campbell said it was a great day at the office.
"I just got on some nice horses, the gaps started opening up and the horse reacted," he said.
"It was not really expected. I knew I had some good horses there but no-one expected to win half the card."
He had won three times at a meeting before but, with only six races on the card yesterday it was an exceptional performance.
Campbell, in the first year of his apprenticeship to Wingatui trainer Shane Anderton, has made a great start to the 2018-19 season having bagged five winners already and sits inside the top five in the premiership.
He was the most successful rider in flat races at the 2018 Grand National carnival at Riccarton earlier this month.
