Allpress gave her rival jockeys no chance of catching her on the Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman-trained mare when she sprinted quickly and left the field flat-footed on the home turn.
Placegetters Sleeping Beauty and Tomelilla were the only horses able to get within 10 lengths of New York Minute at the finish.
The big front-running performance has New York Minute on track for the new season’s early group 1 features.
"We’ll probably freshen her and ideally head to the Foxbridge Plate and then the first day at Hastings [for the Tarzino Trophy]," Andrew Forsman said.
Although Lisa Allpress had controlled the race in front, Forsman was conscious of the weight advantage New York Minute was giving away to runner-up Sleeping Beauty.
"With the pull in the weights that Sleeping Beauty had, I thought she was going to give us a fright, but our horse is all heart and dug deep," Forsman said.
"She’s hard to catch when she’s rolling along."
New York Minute was just a $15,000 weanling purchase in 2013.
Her win took her record to eight victories and more than $210,000 in stakes.
The Baker-Forsman trained Deels In Heels put in a poor performance before her tilt at next month’s group 3 Winter Cup at Riccarton.
"Deals In Heels was a bit disappointing. She was there, but didn’t quicken," Forsman said.
Fellow Winter Cup contender Taurus also disappointed when finishing seventh.
She sat in midfield, but made no impression in the home straight.
Veteran galloper Nashville put in an excellent Winter Cup trial.
The 9yr-old got a long way off the leaders before dashing home along the rail to finish sixth.
