A team of youngsters performed impressively in Challenge Wanaka last weekend.

The teenage trio of Cecilia Crooks, Ella Harris and Georgia Mitchell - racing under the name No Sweat - won the teams' half race in 4hr 41min 58sec, finishing

eight minutes ahead of the second-placed Hot On Ya Heels team.

Crooks and Mitchell attend St Hilda's Collegiate. Harris is a former Columba College pupil.

The group beat out 57 other teams in the open-age race.

Crooks got the team off to a good start, emerging from the 1.9km swim in 24min 26sec.

Harris then opened up a handy lead on the bike leg, completing the 90km ride in 2hr 33min 56sec.

That lead grew when Mitchell took off for her run and finished the 21.1km course - a half-marathon - in 1hr 38min 50sec.
