The middleweight MMA main event saw Team Hammerhead's Brogan ''The Arm Collector'' Anderson beat Whangarei's Ryan ''The Preacher'' Anderson (Lions Den Ministries) by a first-round shoulder choke that put Ryan to sleep.
Both men started punching from range before a nice right hand caught Brogan Anderson off guard and put him down.
He got straight up and landed some hard shots before he rushed at Ryan Anderson, caught him up against the cage and took him to the ground where he manoeuvred in for his fourth win in a row.
It takes Brogan Anderson's record to 10 wins, four losses, while his rival goes to two losses from as many fights.
Brogan Anderson, the Supremacy Fighting Championship New Zealand light heavyweight champion, said he felt ''nice and loose'' at 84kg which was where his immediate future would lie, as opposed to fighting the bigger guys at 93kgs.
Ryan Anderson said while he was disappointed with the outcome and would have to put more work into his ground game, he was thrilled with his club's two wins.
While the main event was over in a matter of minutes the event between MMA welterweights Craig Masina (Team Hammerhead) and Invercargill's Siitia Leti (Ultimate MMA) went the three bruising rounds.
Both men left nothing in the cage as they traded some fierce leather, knees and kicks as if their life depended on it.
By the end Masina (39) had lost a tooth and was visibly battered as he was beaten by split decision, but his courage had won the admiration of the 800-strong crowd in what was fittingly the fight of the night - and his last fight.
He finishes with three wins, three losses. Leti, who always thrills with his exciting striking, is now on a three fight win streak as he goes to four wins and three losses.
Knockout of the night went to featherweight Matt Kerr (Team Hammerhead) for his win over John Shields (Ultimate MMA).
Kerr got on the inside of side of the taller Shields late in the third round and landed a straight right hand that left Shields out cold. Hamish Te Whata (Hooligan MMA) was beaten by a second round rear naked choke from a highly skilled Taylor Wetere (Lions Den Ministries).
Wetere took his record to four wins, one loss, while team-mate Jennifer Ruka was equally impressive when she beat a gallant Sarah Archer (Team Hammerhead) by split decision in their 57.5 catch weight MMA fight.
The 11-bout fight card included four kickboxing fights.
In a 93kg clash, Robert Dean (Team Hammerhead) won a majority decision over a very tough power-punching Tom Heads (Ultimate MMA).
Heads used his experience to trouble Dean as he tried to pin him against the cage, but Dean showed great composure and a fine array of kicking skills to come out on top and take his record to four wins, one loss.
Matt Eden (Team Hammerhead) showed no signs of rust after about a year out when he systematically beat Wayne Knight (Kicksports Timaru) via a third-round doctor's stoppage, while Eden's team-mate, Dan Worthington, ended his career in style with a seven-win, three-loss and one-draw record after he won a unanimous decision over Victor Tawera (Academy of Combat).
Others to impress were Team Hammerhead lightweight Tim Ellis for his MMA submission win and Kelly Broerse (Academy of Combat) for her 60kg unanimous decision kickboxing win.
