Five-strong team named

A five-strong New Zealand para cycling team combining an exciting blend of youth and experience was yesterday named to take part in the Paris Paralympic Games.

Rory Mead, Nicole Murray and Anna Taylor all return for a second Paralympics following debut appearances from the trio at Tokyo in 2021, Paralympics New Zealand said. The team will also comprise world champion Devon Briggs and Ben Westenberg who will compete in their maiden Paralympics.

The selection of the five cyclists lifts the size of the New Zealand team selected so far to 23.
