The event attracted 35 competitors, who were randomly split into 11 teams of three and one unlucky group of two.
Each competitor completed a 300m swim, 7km cycle leg and 1.7km run. Former Olympian Tony Dodds outsprinted Grayson Westgate to clinch victory for his team in a thrilling finish to the race.
Dodds' team was in third place when he set off for the final leg.
He overhauled the second-placed team and pipped Westgate at the end. Dodds retired as a professional triathlete in May after spending 13 years competing on the international stage.
