Warriors second-rower Sione Lousi has been suspended for three weeks after his attempt to have his charge downgraded failed at the NRL judiciary last night.
Lousi was found guilty of a grade two dangerous throw on Wests Tigers back-rower Corey Paterson and will miss the games against the Sharks, Bulldogs and Dragons.
Coach Matt Elliott said immediately after the game he didn't think it was a penalty so was surprised at the high grading but it is a sensitive time because of the serious injury suffered by Newcastle's Alex McKinnon.
It interrupts Lousi's attempts to become a Warriors regular after he missed all of 2013 because of a serious knee injury.
Feleti Mateo is likely to start in place of Lousi against the Sharks tomorrow, with Sebastine Ikahihifo coming onto the interchange bench.
