Twenty-four of Otago's most promising juniors will compete with professionals in a challenge on the The Hills course in Arrowtown before the Michael Hill New Zealand Open next week.
The juniors are all under 16 and the event will be over nine holes, starting at 5pm next Tuesday.
They will be in groups of three, each of which will be joined by a New Zealand professional.
There are many single-figure juniors in the field, and all play off handicaps under 20.
Course owner Michael Hill will host the juniors and the professionals for drinks and nibbles in his clubhouse after the event.
