Three cup games on Anzac Day

The first round of southern Chatham Cup games have been confirmed for Anzac Day.

Three games will be played within the federation in the early round of football's national knockout cup.

Mornington hosts West End at Tahuna Park, Geraldine will play at home to Grants Braes and Thistle will play Gore Wanderers in Invercargill.

The remaining teams have an automatic pass to the second round.

The first round of the Kate Sheppard Cup, the women's national knockout competition, will be played on Saturday, May 11.

Mosgiel hosts Otago University at Memorial Park, while Roslyn Wakari will play Queenstown at Ellis Park.

Defending champion Dunedin Technical has a first-round bye, as does Green Island.

  • This week's round of the Southern Premier League will be played early.

Northern travels to Invercargill to play Southland United tonight.

The remaining matches will be played tomorrow afternoon, in Queenstown and Wanaka, as well as at Ellis Park and Sunnyvale.
