Football: Fury striker out of Phoenix match

North Queensland Fury will be without Ugandan striker Eugene Sseppuya for their A-League match against Wellington Phoenix in the capital tomorrow night.

The 27-year old discovered his current visa would not allow him entry to New Zealand, meaning he had to stay in Townsville while his team-mates flew out to Wellington.

"The North Queensland Fury sought advice in advance of the team travelling to New Zealand and was led to believe he had the correct immigration documentation to enter the country," a Fury statement read.

The Fury have issues with their attack as Dyron Daal has not recovered from injury and Chris Payne, who scored a controversial goal with his hand playing for Sydney against Wellington in last season's preliminary final, which Sydney won 4-2, is on duty with the Australian under-23 team.
