The White Ferns will play in all six host cities during the campaign, including Dunedin.
They host Bangladesh at the University Oval on March 7.
No-one will be looking forward to that fixture more than Otago Sparks captain Suzie Bates.
She has played 255 internationals for her country but not one of them has been in Dunedin.
There are two other games in Dunedin.
Bangladesh play South Africa in game two of the tournament on March 5, and the West Indies and England will do battle on March 9.
Bangladesh, Pakistan and West Indies were confirmed in the schedule after the qualifying tournament in Harare had to be called off due to Covid-19 concerns.
They join hosts New Zealand, Australia, England, India and South Africa in the event.
The World Cup will see 31 matches played over 31 days. The final will be played under lights at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on April 3.
Cricket World Cup 2022 chief executive Andrea Nelson said the opening match would be a tremendous occasion.
"It’s going to be a great day out, with some amazing opening celebrations planned before our White Ferns stars, including Sophie Devine and Amelia Kerr, take on the West Indies and some greats of the game like Stafanie Taylor and Deandra Dottin.
"Locking in the last places is great news for supporters planning their summer and our host cities, who can start connecting with fan communities in their area," Nelson said.
