New Zealand opened their campaign at the U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in Borneo with a 22-run loss to South Africa yesterday.
Ina rain-shortened game, South Africa made 91 for seven off 11 overs. Ayaan Lambat grabbed three wickets for New Zealand and Tash Wakelin two.
New Zealand managed just 69 for five in reply despite a brisk 34 off 25 balls from Emma McLeod at the top of the order. — APL
