First chairwomen for NZC

Diana Puketapu-Lyndon will become the first chairwoman of New Zealand Cricket after Martin Snedden announced yesterday he was standing down.

Former chief executive Snedden, who still has a year to run as a director on the board, has chosen to stand down as chairman to allow Puketapu-Lyndon a smooth transition, saying it was "simply the right thing to do".

Board member Roger Twose will replace Snedden as NZC’s representative to the International Cricket Council from the end of November.
